Promise

Promise is a  paint mare. She was emaciated, sick and probably pregnant at Kill pen in Texas. She arrived angry.  She requires additional supplements and lots of gentle care to help her on her journey towards health.

Promise, when she first arrived to Paradise Dreams Animal Sanctuary

    Montana

Montana is a senior quarter horse gelding that worked as a family ranch horse.  We pulled him from a kill pen.  He is now a sanctuary horse where he can enjoy his retirement.

      Prairie

Prairie  is a mustang mare that was pregnant at a kill pen in Texas. She lost her baby (Pioneer). Everyone was afraid of her and said she would never connect with people.  We proved them wrong.

        Mico & Caspian

Mico is a paint yearling.  The kill pen forgot to post him which took away his chance of exposure. They were going to put him on the slaughter truck anyway - making him a direct ship horse- but we got him. Caspian came from a Texas kill pen. He and Mico stick together like glue ever since quarantine.

          Orchid

Orchid  is a Broodmare  that no one wanted.  She had huge cuts on her legs and face that required immediate vet intervention and daily wound care from our team.

            Sara

Sara is a thoroughbred cross mare from a Louisiana kill pen . She arrived extremely skinny and shut down. Sara miscarried her baby in quarantine. She has made a huge physical transformation and has stopped hiding her self as much in her herd. Give her a little bit more time and I think she would blossom one on one with a person .

              Treasure

Treasure is a paint gelding that was a family horse. They even road him to church.  He was  left at a kill pen in Texas., VERY skinny. Treasure is a sweet, sweet boy

                Gem

Gem is a Tennessee walker x quarter horse mare from a kill pen auction in Louisiana. She was super fearful and very sick in quarantine (zoom in on nose). She attached herself to Saxten once they got to California.

                  Saxten

Saxten was VERY sick at the kill pen in Texas and spent a week in the hospital with influenza along with Dream and Reign.
